The Denver Broncos defeated the New York jets 23-10 to win the AFC Championship to head off to Super Bowl XXXIII. Jason Elam kicked field goals of 44, 48 and 35 yards and Future Hall of Fame running back, Terrell Davis scored on a 31 yard run. Howard Griffith caught an 11 yard touchdown pass from Future Hall of Fame Quarterback, John Elway during a 20 point 3rd quarter as the Broncos pulled away from the Jets.

Davis finished the day with 167 yards on 32 carries. Ed McCaffrey was the leading receiver with 66 yards on 3 carries. Darrien Golden picked off a pair of Vinny Testaverde passes and the Broncos held future Hall of Fame running back Curtis Martin to 14 yards on 13 carries. Steve Atwarter and Bill Romanowski forced fumbles and Romanowski led the team with 11 tackles as the Broncos forced 4 Jets turnovers.

This will turn out to be the final game that John Elway would ever play at Mile High Stadium.
