Game Day History: December 5

1976

Jim Turner kicked a 20 yard 4th quarter field goal to give the Broncos a 17-16 win over their AFC Rival, the Kansas City Chiefs, to improve to 8-5 on the season. Haven Moses (3-51), scored on an 8 yard TD pass from Craig Penrose, following Tom Jackson’s blocked punt (shown above). Penrose finished the day 11/27 for 176 yards, a pair of touchdown passes and a pair of interceptions. Penrose also connected with Riley Odoms (2-44) for a 29 yard touchdown pass.  Otis Armstrong led the ground game with 45 yards on 17 carries. Jackson added an interception to go with his blocked punt to pace the defense and special teams.
