Jason Elam kicked a 34 yard field goal in sudden death overtime as the Broncos defeated their AFC Rival, the Kansas City Chiefs 20-17 to improve to 7-6 on the season. Elam was 2/2 with a pair of 34 yard field goals and a pair of extra points. John Elway was 18/22 for 256 yards with a touchdown to Shannon Sharpe (10-95). Anthony Miller led the Broncos in receiving with 153 yards on 6 catches. Leonard Russell led the Broncos ground game with 62 yards on 20 carries. Reggie Rivers added a touchdown to go with his 25 yards rushing on 7 carries. Karl Mecklenburg forced a fumble and Elijah Alexander led the defense with 8 tackles.
