Game Day History: December 3

1978

The Broncos overcame a 6-0 deficit to beat their AFC West rival, the Oakland Raiders 21-6 to improve to 9-5 on the season. Rob Lytle (7-17)  scored the first touchdown on a 2 yard run. Craig Morton (6/11 54 yards)  connected with Haven Moses (1-14) for the 2nd score and Randy Grandishar returned a fumble 30 yards for a score for the Broncos final scores. Jim Turner added the three extra points.Steve Foley, Bernard Jackson and Bill Thompson each picked off the future Hall of Fame quarterback Kenny “The Snake” Stabler, and the Broncos defense sacked the lefty four times.
