Per Lauren Renschler, Mizzou Alumni Shane Ray of Denver Broncos and Markus Golden of Arizona Cardinals Face Off to Raise Money for Their Charities
Today, Shane Ray and Markus Golden begin a nationwide charity competition. As the Broncos and the Cardinals face off in the last pre-season game of the year, the two Mizzou alumni will face off in a competition to raise the most money for charity.
The friend and former teammates will be asking fans to donate to their chosen charities leading up to, during and immediately after the game. The charity drives will end and a winner will be announced Monday, September 4.
The donation platform, Happiness 2 Others, is offering giveaways that fans that contribute to either Team Shane or Team Markus. All donations are tax-deductible and will go directly to the chosen charity, with the fan having the option to equally support both players and their causes by splitting their contributions evenly among the foundations.
