ICYMI, Denver has hired former 8-time Pro Bowler, 2-time SB champ & 90s All-Decade Safety, Steve Atwater, as their Fan Development Manager and Broncos Insider.
This shows John Elway has made moves to ease the strain between the franchise and Atwater over the hedge fund incident.
The move gives Atwater a job, and exposure to help his chances at getting into the NFL Hall of Fame a place the 2005 Ring of Ring player belongs in. The timing can make one wonder if this indicates that Elway’s new contract will have language giving him more power. He’ll have more pull in the Front Office and his friend Atwater sees this.
