Former and current Denver Bronco players and cheerleaders give their time.

Some players who have stayed in Denver for the summer, participated in two events today. Dare to Play for children with Down Syndrome and a High School 7-on-7 and Linemen Challenge.

The Broncos and Valor Christian High School hosted the Dare to Play Football Camp.

Ed McCaffrey, and son, Christian, were hosts and guest coaches along with some former Broncos: Britton Colquitt, Tyler Polumbus, and Joel Dressen. Shaquil Barrett gave his support.

The event allowed children with down syndrome to participate in an organized football game accompanied by referees and  coaches.

For the 7-7 challenge, more than 170 combined teams played. The teams included 21-of-32 Colorado High School Activities Association 5A and 4A state playoff teams. Denver South won it all. Isaiah McKenzie and Dymonte Thomas were a guest coaches.

The Linemen Challenge, with honorary coach, Garerrt Bolles, included tug-of-war, tractor tire flip, obstacle course, five-man sled push and relays.
