John Elway will be adding another award to a warehouse of them.

ENGLEWOOD, Colorado.

On May 24, 2017, The Mizel Institute will honor “The Duke of Denver”, John Elway, Hall of Fame Quarterback and current Denver Broncos EVP/GM with the 2017 Community Enrichment Award at Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space museum. The Community Enrichment Award is presented each year to an individual for their outstanding contributions to the community

Mizel institute founder, Larry A. Mizel said, “John Elway, a longtime friend of the Mizel Institute, is truly deserving of the Community Enrichment Award,” Mizel added, “In addition to his legendary career with the Denver Broncos, John has been dedicated to giving back to our community in countless ways.

It is an honor for us to recognize John’s business leadership and his philanthropic spirit; he is a true role model and one of Denver’s most iconic heroes.”
Denver Mayor Michael B. Hancock was the 2016 Community Enrichment Award winner. Past winners include, Denver Broncos owner, Pat Bowlen, and Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper.

The Mizel Institute is a nationally recognized institution with two distinct programs in the Denver area: the Mizel Museum and the Counterterrorism Education Learning Lab (CELL).
